Ident Ideas
- Cracker/snack eating idea
- - One single cracker
- Crunch sound effect, part of the cracker disappears
- Continues to show part of the Salford logo behind it
- Finished cracker leaves behind logo with crumbs on top
- Finished cracker alternate ending could consist of Salford title itself being eaten (similar to the Scooby doo Warner bros logo being eaten)
- Epic soundtrack possibilities -
- O Fortuna (soundtrack)
- O Verona (soundtrack)
- Or no soundtrack, only sound effects i.e. crunching, birds tweeting etc.
- Similar ident to the X-factor Ident
- Features characters in front of green screen
- Characters wave their hair around – this will then be shot using a ‘time lapse/slow motion effect’ along with an ‘explosion/ray of sunlight’ beaming behind them
- The name of the character appears on screen as they appear on the screen in time with the explosion/sunlight ray beaming down
- Consists of ‘crowds/football crowds cheering’ as the background soundtrack
- Possible voice-over of news broadcasts featuring talks about ‘media city/important Salford events’
- Characters could be featured walking in front of Media city on the green screen/chroma key
- Along with a split screen effect of a news reporter/events happening around media city and presenting a short speech
- Featuring ‘ray of light/explosion’ in the background – using adobe after effects
- Consists mostly of 2-3 actors/presenters turning around to face the camera in a similar style to the X-factor
- Features the use of O Fortuna/O Verona as the background Soundtrack
- Possible voice-over of news broadcasts featuring talks about ‘media city’
- Feature character’s names underneath them, similar to the x-factor however feature a smaller explosion underneath the title
- Consists of ‘crowds/football crowds cheering’ as the background soundtrack
- Ambient Serious/Dark Fantasy football Salford Ident – features a serious looking character that appears to have his/her head tilted in a sinister way (could be smiling) and shows part of his/her body in shadow (he/she could be wearing dark clothing/hood up).
- The character is standing alone in a deserted area, he/she reaches one hand behind his/her back and pulls out a ‘football’ (this scene is to be shown in a sinister way as if the character was about to pull out a weapon)
- The character then slams/bounces the ball onto the ground (consists of a medium shot of the character slamming the ball to the ground)
- The slamming is shot in ‘slow-motion’ along with a ‘ghosting effect’ to repeatedly show the motion of the swing
- Consists of ‘extreme-close-up shots’ of the ‘characters face as he/she slams the ball to the ground’ and an extreme close-up shot of the ball hitting the ground
- During close-up shots of the characters face, could be shot against green screen and feature a clip of a ‘full moon’ in the background
- Consists of an ‘explosion’ as the ball hits the ground in slow motion
- Combined with a large explosion ‘sound effect’ and ‘choir soundtrack i.e. O Fortuna, O Verona, Death Note soundtrack’ playing throughout the ident etc.
- Camera is then placed in a higher position looking down on the ball as the ball bounces upwards in slow motion (still keeping the character in shot)
- As the explosion/impact of the ball has hit the ground the ‘letters begin to appear’ for example after two/three more slams of the ball to the ground – the word ‘Salford’ appears on the ground in a ‘hellish/impact form’.
- Adobe after effects ‘ghost text’ appears above the word ‘Salford’ and says ‘the only way is’ in combination with a ‘wind howling sound’.
- Features ambient space/mysterious sounds
